Lunch on Thursday afternoon was excellent.
They honor the free glass of Prosecco with your Yelp check-in, which really sets you up for a fantastic meal.
I loved the Mediterranean salad & cacio e pepe. The salad is a large portion and can easily be shared amongst 4 people. The slices of mozzarella were so fresh & creamy.
I also tried the pasta carbonara and preferred it to the cacio e pepe. Either one is a winning choice. Both pasta dishes were so creamy and the pasta was cooked perfectly.
Service was welcoming and attentive. And the Italian music really brings it all together for an authentic experience.
This meal just gave me all those good warm & fuzzy feelings. Can't wait to return. -

Authentic mozzarella, pizza and tomato sauce. You get a taste of Italy and you pay for it. Given they import, the mozzarella, the flour, and the tomato sauce, I understand their pizza becomes a gourmet delicacy. I'm happy to take the hit every now and then, when I miss the authentic flavor of my country of origin.
In the past they served me a watered down espresso, this time it was pretty good, although still far from the real deal.
Service was nice, but it's a busy location with quick turnover. Sometimes you'll have to wait a few minutes before you can get their attention. I had two pizzas by myself because I was very hungry and because I don't live close to this place. I wanted to really get rid of my pizza cravings for a while. The check was $70 ($84 with the tip). It included 2 beers, 2 pizzas, two espresso coffees. -

Decided to get takeout while at a friend's place in Miami Beach. We ordered two Neapolitan style pies for 3 people to share. The first was La Pianura for $18. It consisted of mozzarella, prosciutto, basil, and arugula. No sauce. The second we ordered was a basic Margherita for $12.
I do believe you have to have an acquired taste for Neopolitan style pizzas. They are usually rather small, with a doughy texture, robust sauce, and rich ingredients. The Margherita was good. It had a very tangy sauce. I don't mind doughy pizza, but this was a little too doughy. The pizza was very sloppy. La Pianura was okay. For $18 it wasn't enough. It just felt like prosciutto on top of dough. Which is basically what it was. Very chewy.
Takeout order was ready before estimated time. -

My husband & I learned about this restaurant on Best Thing I Ever Ate: Miami Beach and finally had a chance to try it. We went on a Saturday for lunch and decided to sit outside. Our waiter, Pasquale, was incredibly nice. We shared the parmigianella pizza and I was so in love with how fresh everything was. We will be back again soon.

Must eat in South Beach! Delicious Gnocchi and tomato basil bruschetta. Servers are attentive, great service.
